To protect the health of passengers, the use of overhead bins for the storage of hand baggage will no longer be allowed on all flights operated in Italy. Passengers will only be permitted to bring on board small baggage, that can be placed under their seat such as, for example, handbags, backpacks, laptop cases not exceeding 36x45x20 cm.
We invite passengers to deliver their baggage to the airport at the Check-in / Drop-off counter, to be placed in the hold, free of charge.

Marco Polo’s airport is located only 13km from the historic centre of Venice. Volotea and Easyjet airlines have got one of their bases in this airport.
The airport’s terminal is relatively small and well-signed.

Venice Marco Polo Airport has only a small-sized terminal, which allows the time to change your flights to be only about 45 minutes, although, always allow a bit more due to unexpected circumstances.

Direct boat shuttle to the city centre – recommended
Arrive in Venice with style by boat directly from the airport.
Company Alilaguna runs 3 lines (to Marco Polo’s Square or Rialto bridge) from the airport with departures every 15 minutes. The journey takes approx. 1 hour.
There is a direct bus No. 5 or Shuttle bus called “ATVO Airport Shuttle” departing to Venice and No.15 departing to Mestre from outside of the terminal. Travel time to Venice is approx 30-40 minutes, to Mestre approx. 20 mins.
Connection No.5 to Venice is in service from 4:35 – 1:10 with departures every 15 minutes during the day. No. 15 to Mestre departures every 30 minutes from 6:00 – 20:15.
ATVO Airport Shuttle runs from 6:00 – 20:14 every 30 minutes.

BUDGET TIP: to save, walk from airport approx. 1km to bus stop Tessera Centro to catch the bus No. 5 / No.15 to Venice / Mestre. The ticket costs 1.50 € in a kiosk by the bus stop or in a hotel’s reception.
