Rome Ciampino Airport is located 17km south-east from the city centre and is operated mostly by Ryanair and Wizzair airlines. Other airlines operate from larger Fiumicino airport.
Not so fancy terminal is suitable for its purpose for low-cost airlines. There are not many airport services available, however, the airport is small and well sign-posted.
The airport is open 4:00 AM – 0:30 AM. Staying outside these hours inside of the terminal is not allowed.
Rome Ciampino Airport Transit
If you're travelling on a connecting flight, Arrival and Departure terminal are not connected with each other. It is necessary to leave the Arrival zone, walk to the Departure hall and go through the airport's security checks.
We recommend comfortable and direct buses from the Ciampino airport to Main station “Termini” – Via Giovanni Giollitti street on south side of the station.
Terravision – Well known bus company across all Europe. Departures every 15 – 60 minutes. The journey takes about 40 minutes.
There is a combined train and bus connection between Ciampino airport and Rome Termini train station called AirLink.
The bus connection, which leaves every 20 minutes from the square opposite the airport, takes passengers to the Ciampino Station will making intermediate stop, to the continue the trip towards Termini.
