Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is an international airport in Italy. It’s located about 6 km northwest of Bologna city centre. The airport is named after Guglielmo Marconi, a famous scientist from Bologna. The airport is a good starting point for exploring Bologna and the Emilia-Romagna region, which is known for its history, culture, and food.
The airport helps to promote tourism in the region. More airlines are starting to operate from this airport, which helps Bologna connect with the rest of the world. The airport is close to Tuscany, so many tourists going there choose to fly into this airport. The airport also provides tourist information and other services.
The airport has one runway and a large terminal building. The terminal was expanded between 2011 and 2013 and now has a total area of 36,100m², including 5,500m² of shopping areas. The airport also has a new baggage handling system and 24 departure gates that play an important role in handling its passengers efficiently and providing a good travel experience.
