London Luton Airport located 28 miles (45km) north of London was opened during the Second World War in 1938. It is now one of the major international airports handling mostly flights of European low-cost airlines such as EasyJet, RyanAir, WizzAir or TUI Airways.
The smaller sized airport advantages from shorter check-in and immigration waiting times.
There is only 1 well-signposted terminal with check-in desks and immigration control on the same floor.
The airport offers a range of fast foods and Cafés and WHSmith in both before and after the security and also in the arrivals hall. The only sit-in restaurants are after security. Currency exchange kiosks are available in all stages of the airport.
The airport is open 24/7.
