London Luton Airport located 28 miles (45km) north of London was opened during the Second World War in 1938. It is now one of the major international airports handling mostly flights of European low-cost airlines such as EasyJet, RyanAir, WizzAir or TUI Airways.

The smaller sized airport advantages from shorter check-in and immigration waiting times.
