Manchester Airport Transit
Manchester Airport's three terminals are located conveniently close to one another, which means passengers have easy access if transferring. Transferring from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 or 3 should take no more than 5 to 15 minutes, with moving walkways throughout the terminal buildings. Meanwhile, T1 and T3 are an easy two-minute walk from one another.
The signs are however not always very clear, allowing extra time for transfers is then recommended.
If your flights are from the same airline on the same ticket in most cases you do not have to leave the transit zone as your following departure will be from the same terminal of your arrival.
For transfers within the same terminal, 30 minutes should be sufficient. Between 2 terminals allow at least 2 hours for no stress transfer.
Manchester Airport is linked to the city centre by a 24-hour Stagecoach bus service.
Buses to Manchester Airport arrive at and leave from The Station, the airport’s dedicated transport interchange. It’s open 24 hours a day and links trains, coaches and buses into one building. It is connected to all terminals by the Skylink moving walkways, lifts and escalators.
