It is the only airport on the Canary Island’s northest island, located 5 km southwest of the island’s capital Arrecife. It mostly handles flights of European low-cost airlines with over 7 million passengers handled in the past year.
The size of the airport is small, the well sign-posted terminal offers few cafes, pubs and fast-food chains. There are ATM’s in both Arrivals Hall and Boarding Area.
The low-cost airlines’ fares to Lanzarote can often be very low, however, don’t forget to count with extra fees for your baggage as they are usually not included and will significantly add up on your total price.
The airport is open depending on incoming and outgoing flights, usually between 04:00 – 01:00.
