Boston Airport, officially General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport, is located very close to the city centre. It serves as the home base for JetBlue and Delta Airlines and is the largest airport in the state of Massachusetts as well as in the New England region.
You will find a large number of restaurants, fast foods, snack bars and cafes at Boston’s airport, with most of them being in post-security zone (airside).
The airport operates 4 terminals, which are connected by a free airport bus to each other, the metro station and the port. Airport also offers a wide range of shops selling travel essentials, news kiosks and some fashion. There are ATM’s, lounges and pet relief areas in every terminal. Outside the airport, you may spend your long layovers in nearby hotels in either Hilton or Hyatt Regency.
Boston Logan Airport has four terminals: Terminal A, Terminal B, Terminal C, and Terminal E. All terminals are connected by a free shuttle bus service that runs 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Additionally, there is a walkway that connects Terminals A and E, and a shuttle bus that connects Terminals B and C.
International arrivals are headed to Terminal E, from which you will need approximately 1 hour for a comfortable transfer to your connecting flight.
It is possible to visit the city of Boston during longer layovers at Logan Airport. The airport is located in East Boston, which is just a short drive away from downtown Boston. Depending on the length of your layover, you can take a taxi, Uber, or public transportation to explore the city.
In the event of a transfer, you must always pick up your luggage and check it in again, so you must have an ESTA permit issued prior to your travel.
