Phuket International Airport (HKT), approximately 32 km north of Phuket city. The gateway to Phuket Island, South Thailand’s popular paradise processes’ over 16 million passengers every year. Phuket Island’s airport welcomes flights from both domestic and international destinations with not only low-cost airlines but also major airlines operating here.

Phuket Airport, Thailand’s second-largest and busiest airport has 2 Terminals in 1 building, which gets quite crowded often during the high season (November – February)

Phuket Airport Facilities

Phuket Airport offers plenty of shopping and dining possibilities, with a Duty-free shop, selling liquor, tobacco, watches, accessories and jewellery, luxury perfumes, cosmetics and fashion, aromatherapy, electronics, local and Thai souvenirs or famous Thai fruits and snacks such as Dried mango, papaya, durian, longan and other fruits packed in attractive packaging, making it a great option to bring a piece of Thailand home.

As for eating at Phuker Airport, you will find a wide range of fast foods of both international and local chains as well as restaurants, snack bars or cafés.

There is plenty customer service kiosk of almost every airline operating here in Phuket Airport, as well as ATM or a currency exchange booth.

The airport itself doesn’t host any hotel, however, there are at least 4 hotels right outside the airport, with prices ranging between £15-£60 per night for a standard room. Phuket Airport Transit

There are no connection flights at this airport as it serves as final - holiday destination to most. For transit to another flight, it is necessary to leave the arrival zone and check-in your luggage again.
