Prague Vaclav Havel Airport

Prague Vaclav Havel Airport (PRG) is located 12km north-west from Prague. There are more than 1400 flights a week to 133 different destinations in America, Africa and Asia continent with almost 17 million passengers checked-in at the airport in 2018. The airport is spacious with new facilities and many seating areas.

It is a hub for Czech Airlines, Smartwings and RyanAir.

The airport is well navigated and not so large, you can get to any gate in about 10 minutes. There are 2 terminals in Prague Vaclav Havel Airport, Terminal 1 for flights outside Schengen and Terminal 1 for flights only inside Schengen zone. Both terminals are connected with each other only in the pre-security area. The recommended connecting times are:

Bus AE – Airport Express

The fastest and only direct way to city centre
Shuttle between T1, T2 and Train station
Wenceslas Square only 10 minutes walk from the station

Terminal 1 and 2, direction Nádraží Veleslavín (Metro line A)
Departs every 5 to 20 minutes from 4:15 to 11:30
Time of travel approx. 20 minutes

Bus 191

Terminal 1 and 2, direction Anděl (Metro line B) and Bus station Na Knížecí (Yellow Student Agency intercity buses)
Departs every 5 to 20 minutes from 5:00 to 00:30
Time of travel approx. 45 minutes to Anděl stop

Airport Taxi

Taxi to the city takes about 25 minutes, depending on traffic and destination

Uber, Liftago, Taxify apps available only in the city or journeys to the airport (not from)
We don’t recommend regular taxis in Prague as drivers tend to take longer routes or trying to agree on higher price before the journey or find any other way of scamming tourists
