The Abu Dhabi’s airport is a medium-sized airport, located just about 20km from United Arab Emirates capital city. The national Etihad Airways has got its home base at this airport.
In many cases, it serves as a transit airport for Europe-Asia flights.
Abu Dhabi airport is open 24 hours.
Abu Dhabi Airport Transit
There are 3 terminals at the Abu Dhabi Airport. Terminals 1 and 3 are connected with each other and check-in most of the flights. Terminal 3 operates only Etihad airline flights.
Walking distance between those Terminals is approx. 15 minutes.
In improbable need to transit to Terminal 2, use a shuttle bus.
For comfortable transit, allow at least 70 minutes connection when booking your tickets.
Abu Dhabi Airport Transfer
Airport – City centre (Bus)
A bus connection to the city centre no. A1 departs every 30 minutes.
Tickets can be bought from self-service ticket machines at the airport’s arrival terminal.
It is possible to combine with bus no. A1 to Abu Dhabi’s city centre with bus connection No. X90 to Al Ain. The X90 is in service from 4:30 – 00:00 and departs from Abu Dhabi’s city centre Air terminal every 30 minutes and has fewer stops than No. 490.
Getting around Abu Dhabi is easy and taxis are reasonably priced and plentiful. They can be flagged down at the roadside, booked by phone through the TransAD hotline 600 535353 or via the Abu Dhabi Taxi app available for both iOS and Android platforms.
