The largest Ethiopian’s airport. There are two passenger terminals for both international and domestic flights at Addis Ababa Airport.
It is located approximately 6km east of the city.
The Addis Adaba airport is open 24 hours.

You can transfer between terminals by the walkthrough that connects both buildings. A free shuttle service is available.
Terminal 1
Addis Ababa Terminal 1 hosts exclusively domestic and regional flights within the country. The airlines that provide service in the terminal are Ethiopian Airlines, EgyptAir, Sudan Airways and Yemenia Yemen Airways.Terminal 2
Addis Ababa Terminal 2 hosts all the international flights. It is a modern terminal building adapted to international standards. It is composed of 3 levels with various amenities and services. Airport – City centre (Taxi)
There is no public transport available to get to the city centre.
On the route to the city, there is an option to take a blue-white taxi which follows a certain route. It might be difficult to know where the taxi will stop and it is necessary to ask before travelling.
Price is also agreed beforehand, however, journey to the city costs approx. 30 Birr (£1.50)
Private Taxi
Standart private taxis are also available, however with no meters fitted inside.
The price (must be agreed beforehand) to the city is approx. between 200-300 Birr (£8 - £15).
