Madeira shuttle

The fastest way to get to Funchal city is by express bus Aerobus, stopping in the city centre and by the famous Formosa beach.

Buses departure between 4:15 – 0:45 every 30 – 60 minutes. Journey to the city takes approximately 40 minutes.

Commuter buses running via airport are a cheaper option to Aerobus, however, the journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Ticket fares are sorted by zones.

Lines 20, 23, 53, 113 and 208 stop at the airport on way to Funchal, however, on the way back sometimes they do not go to the airport. Always ask the driver whether he goes to the airport or not.

There is a comfortable way to get to selected hotels. A Flibco shuttle bus runs between the airport and selected hotel in city centre and Lido province.

On the way to the airport, buses run between 4:15 – 19:00 every hour, from the airport, buses run from 8:45 – 21:15.
