Terminal A is used by the following airlines: Aerolineas Argentinas, Aeromexico, Air Canada, Air Caraibes, Air Transat, Condor, Eurowings, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue, LATAM, Southwest, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, Sunwing, Thomas Cook Airlines, TUI, Westjet
Terminal B is used by the following airlines: Air France, American Airlines, Avianca, British Airways, Copa Airlines, Delta Airlines, Edelweiss/Swiss, Finnair, Gol, United Airlines
The airport is used mainly as a final destination mostly by low-cost airlines, connecting flights are then unlikely. If needed, you may need to exit the transit zone and check-in again before boarding your flight.
During high season expect longer queues as the airport gets busier.
Local minibus lines operate on most of the roads of the area at a minimal cost. The so-called Guaguas, minibuses, stand for the local buses in Punta Cana.
They are available practically everywhere. By riding them you can get to Santo Domingo, Hata Mayor or Higuey, even in Punta Cana Airport.
An alternative to get to further locations within Dominican Republic is to get straight to Higuey by any of the available Guaguas in the airport and ride other lines which aren’t available within Punta Cana Airport.
Please note that they aren’t a direct service, they just stop at every hotel in the zone in order to transfer passengers; that means transfer times can be longer than an hour.
