Burgas International Airport is the second largest airport in Bulgaria. It is located about 10 kilometres northeast of Burgas near the Black Sea coast.

It used to be called Sarafovo, after the eponymous part of Burgas to which it adjoins. Burgas Airport is used mainly by tourists heading to the seaside resorts of Kiten, Nessebar, Pomorie, Primorsko, Sunny Beach and many more.

The airport has one arrival and one departure terminal, so you can easily find your way around here. There are several cafés and fast-food restaurants in both. There are also duty-free shops, a Bulgarian souvenir shop, a VIP lounge, offices of selected airlines, exchange offices and ATMs. At the airport, it is possible to have your luggage wrapped in foil or rent a car.

Currency exchange booths at this airport does not offer the best rate and it is often cheaper to withdraw the currency directly from an ATM.

Currently the only direct flights from the UK are operated by WizzAir from London Luton (3h 30min journey).

The airport is open 24/7.
