Air France

Air France, one of the oldest and largest European airlines, is the flag carrier of France and is a subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group. The airline operates on routes to around 200 destinations in 93 countries.

With its fleet counting 215 planes it handled more then 46 milion passengers in 2019.

The airlines belongs among the one with higher fares, but alsop higher standart. There is a regular service on board including meals, drinks or entertainment.

The checked baggage in Economy Light is available to purchase from £20 per flight leg (cheaper during online booking).

Infants who do not occupy a seat have a checked baggage allowance of 10 kg, with the exception of the Light fare.

Check-in

Airport check-in

It is recommended that you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight’s departure.

Check-in kiosks open at the day of your flight. Regular check-in desks usually open between 3-2 hours before the scheduled flight.

 

Check-in closing times depend on your point of departure:

  • from Europe to France: mostly 40 minutes (60 mins in Istanbul)
  • from Outside of Europe: 60 minutes
  • from Pointe-à-Pitre and Fort-de-France, Cayenne: 90 minutes
  •  from Abidjan, Abuja, Antananarivo, Bamako, Bangui, Brazzaville, Cairo, Caracas, Conakry, Cotonou, Dakar, Djibouti, Douala, Freetown, Kinshasa, Lagos, Libreville, Lomé, Monrovia, Niamey, Nouakchott, Ouagadougou, Port Harcourt, Yaoundé: 90 minutes
  • from Accra, Algiers and Oran : 2 hours

Boarding deadline is 15 minutes before the departure between Paris-Orly and other domestic airports and 20 minutes for all other flights.

You may choose your seats or buy extras during your online check-in.

You may check-in online, but you must collect your boarding pass at the airport in the following situations:
– Flights departing from Algiers, Cairo, Casablanca, Delhi, Djibouti, Havana, Kinshasa, Mumbai, Punta Cana, Rabat, Santo Domingo, Marrakech, Malé and Tunis.
– Flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle or Marseille and Tel Aviv.

Seat Selection

The standard seat is available for all passengers at no extra charge (FREE) when checking in online, starting 30 hours before departure, or at the airport (except metropolitan France flights).

Seat selection on international flights (in advance) is should be starting from about £9 per person per flight leg per standard seat (no official fees table found).

Travelling with children

If you are travelling as a family with a child (14 years old or younger), the seats will be reserved for you free of charge, 2 days before your flight.
